This week’s photo challenge is entitled, Smile.
This week, share a photo of something that has brought a moment of joy into your life recently, or focus on the outcome of that joy. If you’re not feeling particularly cheerful at the moment — it’s still 2018, after all — no need to fake your way into the challenge, either. Smiles come in all shades and flavors, including the half-hearted, tired, bitter, and resigned (to name a few). So whether the emotions you channel in your photo are full of cheer or not, I can’t wait to see your take on this theme.
Frustration, And Then A Smile
The four corners of Cumbria offer up many contrasting views. Every turn brings about experiences and views which are sure to bring about a huge smile.
For example, yesterday, I headed out on one of my regular jaunts into the local countryside (near to Bigrigg). The sky was clear and the morning air, crisp.
I was enjoying the views, left, right and straight ahead. I turned a corner and was confronted with flood-water across the road (it had rained heavy the night before). My first reaction was of frustration, which then turned into a smile.
The reflections in the water helped offer up a lovely, and unexpected scene. A grin grew from ear to ear as I took in the views, and then I waded through, without a care in the world.
Lighten up, just enjoy life, smile more, laugh more, and don’t get so worked up about things – Kenneth Branagh

I’ll be using my DSLR at times, but mostly my mobile phone – an expensive camera isn’t required for this challenge.. It’s all about how you interpret the subject.
