To Tolerate Fools More Gladly

Anticipation – Photo Challenge:

Each week, I will post a photograph as part of a challenge from the Daily Post – you are invited to participate. This week, the challenge is entitled, Anticipation.

Please show me your interpretation of the subject by adding a comment, with a link to your Website post, Facebook photo, Flickr image, etc.

This week, share a photo that says anticipation. A candid shot of your niece, eager to blow out the candles on her birthday cake. A photo from the trip you’d long dreamed of. An image of something you hope to have one day, or something that was worth the wait. For those who celebrate Christmas, how about a photo of the stockings hung by the chimney with care?

There are an awful lot of things that I’m looking forward to. Christmas, isn’t one of them. This ‘joyous’ period should be consigned to a dustbin, along with the rest of 2016. It has been a monumental disaster, with troublesome individuals stirring the brown stuff, because they were born with a spoon for a hand.

Why do people stir, just for the sake of it? What are their aims? What are their achievements? They never achieve anything, and their self destructive behaviour becomes intolerable over time.

I’m looking forward to a New Year

I anticipate a 2017 that is filled with friendship, instead of the hatred, calumny, vituperation, and the undiscerning malevolence that I have witnessed for the past 10 months, or so.

Friendship is important to me, but I will move on, if words of wisdom are hearkened.

I moved on earlier this year, when one individual decided it best to cover up their mistake. That mistake led them on a downwards a spiral, to a place of unhappiness and recriminations. If only they had listened to me saying, “put it right.”

I’m tired of giving time and energy to others, which frequently culminates in me banging my head against a brick wall. If people won’t listen, then I have nothing to say.

New Year’s Resolution: To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time.
