Trees: A Magical Dreamworld

Dense Trees

Trees Renew Weary Spirit:

Each week, I will post a photograph as part of a challenge from the Daily Post – you are invited to participate. This week, the challenge is entitled, Dense.

Please show me your interpretation of the subject by adding a comment, with a link to your Website post, Facebook photo, Flickr image, etc.

This week, share your take on “dense” — you could focus on a natural landscape, or take the theme in a different direction, from a sweaty crowd at a rock concert or a busy avenue during rush hour to a fresh loaf of bread, waiting for someone to take the first bite.

Lifeblood Of Mankind

Forests astonish and bring about a fantastical dreamworld when you walk beneath the dense covering. The sky can become dark, with the odd twinkle of light bursting through – almost like fairies sprinkling magical dust upon those that pass by.  Forests also offer up a lovely land of brightness and colour. They’re simply magical.

We should plant more trees – they are the lifeblood of mankind.

Robert Louis Stevenson: It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men’s hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.

    • Many thanks @Madame Zenista – the photo has had a green tint added to it, to help emphasise the sky and give a sort of emerald ‘look’ to the trees below the mountain range 🙂
